MAY – JUNE, 2017 STATE REVIEW

The Comprehensive Plan has been submitted to the State for review, and can be viewed online here. The State has 30 to 60 days for review; adoption by the County is anticipated in July.

WHAT?

Foster Forsyth is Forsyth County’s comprehensive plan update process.

This process provides an opportunity for the community as a whole to pause and have a meaningful dialogue about its vision for the County as it relates to housing, quality of life, employment opportunities and the policies and programs that will support plan implementation.

WHY?

To address the topics that are now on the minds of Forsyth County residents.

This includes topics like growth, housing, density, employment. Our County’s Comprehensive Plan is the umbrella policy document for Forsyth County’s future growth and development. It plays an important role in rezoning and development decisions and also establishes community goals and priorities for the County’s future.

HOW?

With lots of input from you!

Stakeholder committees, residents, businesses, community groups, and County staff and leadership will all be included in fostering the Forsyth of tomorrow. To get involved, please plan to come to our public workshops and design charrettes, which will take place throughout the spring and summer.
